Nola Charcters
Read MoreCaptured in New Orleans Jazz Fest 2015. I was trying to shoot some images of this voodoo stick which was anchored in the mud. Suddenly this amazing woman jumped out of the tent and confronted me with a smile about my intentions with her voodoo stick. I took a good look at her and her voodoo stick and visioned the image I wanted in my mind. I navigated her into my “studio” I used the tent as a backdrop and natural lighting from the cloudy sunshine. This image gives me feminine power. Death is just a transition, nothing less nothing more.
Captured on Royal St. during a 15 min wash out. (If nobody told you the weather man is a liar). I was at the right place at the right time to capture this timeless image. This character on the bike is a New Orleans sword eater, if you will look closely you will find her sword and dog riding along with her.
Koffee Break This kooky image was captured in Cafe Envie on Mardi Gras morning 2016 in New Orleans. I was just grabbing a cup of coffee - and there they were, as if they were waiting just for me. My favorite part in this photo is the reflection of one of the clowns face on the right side of the image. Yes. It is creepy. But you know you love it. :)
I invite you to guess which on is which! Look for the musical instrument in the photo. If you want to guess on your own stop reading now! The musician is on the left with his music case behind his chair. The man on the right is not looking that happy either- hens " Pessimist ". The back round of this image is symmetrical and metaphorically represents a day just like any other. The musician on the left seems like life is treating him well- he has a nice suit on - coffee in one hand - a book in the other and he is IN the picture. The pessimist on the right is not having a good day - he's seems as if he is feeling sorry for him self and he is CUT OUT of the picture because he can't see the whole picture - because of his attitude. We make choices every day who we want to be and how we want to feel and this image is a reminder of the result when we choose to be a "musician" in life. Then we can enjoy all the melodies that life has to offer.
