"My passion is connection. Connection with our universe, earth but most importantly connection with people and emotion. There is nothing more exciting to me than capturing a moment of true expression. An expression that tells a story that will live forever. Stories that are captured with my vision and reflect my heart. This is my journey and my calling to share my perspective with others. Connection is my biggest gift and I am lucky to be able to share it with others.”

-May Levy

May was born in Houston Texas. At the age of 9 she moved with her family to the homeland of her parents - Israel. As May came of age, she entered into two years of mandatory service in the Israeli Air Force. When her stint in the military ended she set out with her camera to see the world and capture it. She traveled in 25 countries with a little “point and shoot” capturing the movements of the world. She was fascinated by the beauty in all of the subtle moments and movements she found. May was passionate about connecting with people wherever she traveled. She loved learning about different cultures, new languages, and human behavior. She would go on to share her journey through the remarkable photography captured on this epic adventure.   In 2015 May moved back to the U.S and  began her artistic journey in 2015 on the rainy streets of New Orleans. She arrived as “New Comer” from Israel, trusting in the strong calling of her heart’s desire to share the medicinal power of storytelling through art and photography. Every morning she would wake up at 3:00 am to "mark her spot" for a prime location on the fence on Royal St. in the French Quarter. She hung her artwork with little laundry pins on a fence, waiting to encounter those who her photographs resonated with. Her umbrella was her temple during New Orleans's extreme pouring rain, the artists and locals became her family, and she would often catch images with her camera while waiting for patrons who recognized her heart in her art. As demand and popularity grew, her small pieces followed suit into larger prints that could light up a room. Visitors from all over the world collected her unique artwork and her artwork began spreading rapidly into coffee shops and stores all around the city. Utilizing her street vending days, May captured hundreds of timeless images, by following the rhythm of street musicians, architecture, and street characters, and amplifying the radiant colors of the town through her unique perspective. After six months of street vending, She found herself expanding beyond her fence on Royal St. and into her first official booth at the Night Market on Frenchmen St. There, May was known as the photographer storyteller of New Orleans. Locals were in awe of the beautiful perspective she was able to capture and share of the crescent city. Along with her rapid growth, the challenges grew, her inspiration expanded, and her dream became bigger.  In December 2017, May experienced a profound spiritual awakening and a new chapter began for her. She continued her journey, and spread her wings to Nevada City California Leaving behind an indelible imprint in New Orleans. She manifested a van and drove on her first tour, selling her artwork at music and art festivals around California. People were amazed by her storytelling and her art. Every piece carried a pearl of wisdom wrapped in beauty that touched people's hearts wherever she went. May followed her intuition and expanded her travels to showcase her art across the country.   While traveling in her van piled in artwork from one state to the next, she continued a daily meditation practice, in deep curiosity and reverence to explore this spiritual awareness and integrate it into her life. Healing abilities began streaming through her hands. She was fascinated by the energy and wisdom that was channeling through her body. A cosmic familiarity and remembrance of her star origins was unveiled to her. To practice her new set of skills, she offered healing to the passengers and clients she crossed paths with. May knew in her heart that her journey was a calling that was bigger than herself. She surrendered while listening to the language of the universe allowing it to direct and guide her.  The year 2020 came along and May found herself in her new home in Nevada City CA in lockdown. Her soul was used to traveling and adventure, and she felt stuck and confused not knowing what the next phase of her life would bring. While many fears arose, she persisted in meditation for longer periods of time, looking deeper and deeper within herself. Day by day, her intuitive healing gifts were evolving, as she continued traveling inward, Patterns of her consciousness became the highways she once drove, while her awareness continued to heighten and navigate the journey. Without knowing where her intuitive abilities would take her, she found herself revealed in a new realm of wonders. May was in awe of how her healing and artistic abilities were finally merging into one. Today May is a full time artist AND a full time intuitive healer and works with clients all over the world. You can find her “channeled” art in the “Light Scribe” gallery. This is her way of grounding her healing abilities into the physical and share another layer of artistic expression with her beloved audience.
